AMR Ramesh has directed and produced a film on the life history of sandlewood smuggler Veerappan. It was a bilingual film made in Tamil as ‘Vanayuddam’ and in Kannada as ‘Attahasa’. The film was a hit in both languages. Hence the makers are now brining the film to Telugu audience with the title ‘Veerappan’. With Kishore in title role and Arjun, Lakshmi Rai and Ravi Kaale in key roles the Telugu version is set for release during this month end. Dubbing work is going on at a fast pace. On this occasion director cum producer Ramesh said, “We have carved the film on the life history of Veerappan. We met Veerappan’s relatives and friends to gather information and projected the true story on the screen. The audience will get to see every incident in Veerappan’s life right from the one in his native place to whichever place it occurred. The highlights would be the encounter done by the police and how they brought him out.”
