The adorable Rasna baby Taruni Sachdav passed away on May 14th in Nepal Plane Crash and incidentally her birthday was on the same the day. Born on May 14th, 1998 to Harish Sachdev and Geeta Sachdev (who also died in the plane crash), Taruni began acting at age 5 and went on to act in more than 50 television ads and some of her most popular ads are Rasna, Colgate, ICICI Bank, Santoor Soap, Saffola Oil, etc. However, Taruni is well known to the public as Rasna girl, the ad in which she is seen with Karishma Kapoor. In 2009, she co-starred with
Amitabh Bachchan in the critically acclaimed film ‘Paa’. She also acted in a couple of Malayalam films - ‘Vellinakshatram’ in which she was seen along with
Prithviraj and ‘Sathyam’ in which she shared her screen space with Priyamani. After learning the sad news about Taruni Sachdev,
Priyamani expressed her shock. She tweeted: “Just came to knw that tharuni..a child artist who acted with me in my first malayalam movie sathyam passed away in the Nepal plane crash.. Very very sad news!!!she was such a sweet girl n a good artist!!!may her soul r.I.p..... ?”.
This 14 year old popular child artist, whose dream was to become a heroine in another four years, remained as dream only.
