‘Anniyan’ in Tamil and ‘Aparichitudu’ in Telugu turned Vikram into an overnight sensation. It was one of the biggest blockbuster films in both
Vikram and director Shankar’s career. Now the duo is teaming up once again to recreate the magic with their new project titled ‘I’.
Initially Samantha was roped in to play the female role in ‘I’. But since she opted out of the film citing health reasons, Shankar is now searching to find a replacement for her. The latest buzz is that Amy Jackson signed the project as second heroine. This 'Madarasu Pattanam' young lady is presently shooting for 'Yevadu' costarring Ram Charan and Samantha.
‘I’ is a romantic-thriller to be shot in Shankar style of film-making with top technicians like A R Rahman for music and P C Sriram for cinematography. Aascar Ravichandran is producing this big budget film. Ace comedian Santhanam and Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi are also important roles in the film. Shooting is likely to resume in 3rd week of July.
