Day by day the craze for South Indian films is increasing in Bollywood. Of late we are coming across number of super hit films from Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam being remade in Hindi. To name a few ‘Pokiri’, ‘Ready’, ‘Singham’, ‘Kaakha Kaakha’, ‘Bodyguard’, etc. While all these films belong to the recent time, director Rohit Shetty has now eyed on Maniratnam’s 1988 blockbuster film ‘Agninakshatram’ (Ghashana in Telugu) starring Karthik, Prabhu, Amala and Nirosha. Yes as per the Mumbai sources, the director is making efforts to remake this film with Ajay Devagan as hero.
Maniratnam has a special taste when it comes to making films. His films appear unique mostly because of the cinematography and music. So we have to wait and see how this Bollywood director is going to handle this project.
