This is a season of Ayyappa temple. The devotees of Ayyappa irrespective of their place of stay and language practice 40 days of disciplined living before setting on pilgrimage to Sabarimala. Whatever be the habits like smoking, drinking, etc., during their normal life, the devotees once having taken Deeksha shun all such habits and try to live a life nearer to Swamys. Ram Charan, the successful hero of this generation has taken Deeksha on Wednesday and started the 40 days practice. He is scheduled to go to Sabarimala in October. We are all aware that his dad Chiranjeevi also is a devotee of Lord Ayyappa and had been to Sabarimala in the past.
