  • Koratala Siva was born in Andhra Pradesh state, India, on 15th June 1975. He is an Indian film director & screenwriter who is renowned in the Telugu Cinema for his work.

    Personal Life:

    Beginning his career as a software developer, Siva served as a screenwriting assistant under his uncle Posani Krishna Murali. Subsequently, as a Dialog writer for films such as Okkadunnadu, Munna, Brindavanam and Oosaravelli, he ventured into cinema.

    Siva completed his B Tech degree in the earlier stage and worked as a software engineer, but when he met his cousin he decided to enter as a screenwriter in the Telugu film industry, but he is now a successful director and author.

    Career:

    He received massive recognition as a scriptwriter in "Bhadra" after working as an person writer in "Girl Friend" and it gave him the success in the industry. Siva got fame from movies such as Okkadunnadu, Brindavanam, Munna and Oosaravelli etc. as a dialog writer and from movies such as Simha, Bhadra, and Brindavanam as well.

    He started working in "Mirchi" as a debut director and this was a mega success. As a director, blockbuster starrers Prabhas and Anushka is a huge achievement of his career. This project also greatly impacts the futures of such actors as well. He then directed Mahesh Babu in the Srimanthudu action-drama film, which was yet another big success in the box office.

    Straight wins successes in the box office with his first two movies allowed him to create a multi-starrer next. Against Mohanlal and Jr. NTR in the lead, Janatha Garage had its protagonists operating a large automobile service center called "Janatha Garage" and carrying out law enforcement through their group of automobile mechanics, because legal agencies were deemed to be insufficient.

    As a film director Siva scored his third straight success. he returned to direct Mahesh Babu’s film Bharat Ane Nenu, which is political drama and was blockbuster hit at box office, with the film grossing about 225 crores at the box office.  His next film , Acharya with Chiranjeevi in the lead will be releasing soon.

    Awards & Honours:

    He received an IIFA Utsavam Award for Best Direction for Janatha Garage, a Telugu movie, in 2017. He also received two nominations for the 2017 film Janatha Garage for Best Director Filmfare Award and the 2017 IIFA Utsavam Award for Best Story.
