K Raghavendra Rao as a director doesn’t need any introduction for his work.  And this project will be yet another signature for him.  Well already 100 plus movies under his belt and this being 106th one, no doubt will come out with the learnings from all these films.  Infact, he has a special distinction in showing the heroines in the most beautiful forms.  The settings in scenes have earned a separate place that even a child today can say that it is KRR’s. With his impeccable work and special approach he has helped many heroines establish their careers. Having paved the path for the ones’ like Vijaya Shanti, Radhika, Ramya Krishna, Radha, Rambha, etc., he has now set his eyes on the new blond Tapsee.

Tapsee Pannu is a girl from Ludiana in Punjab where she was pursuing her career as model and Raghavendra Rao is introducing her to the Telugu Film Industry. The maiden project of Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna, d/o Manchu Mohan Babu, has been planned meticulously right from the word ‘Go’.  She has aptly selected the director-musician combination which is well known in Tollywood for the hits given by them.  She has also opted for the theme based on music which is the added strength of this combination.  The title ‘Jhummandhi Nadam’ has been aptly selected which gives a special good feeling to the audience.

‘Jhummandhi Nadam’ dwells on a story of a music lover achieving his dreams.  The young boy from Bhadrachalam named Balasubrahmaniam is an ardent fan of SP Balasubrahmaniam and he dreams to become one such personality.  And the way he achieves that is the movie all about.

The hero Manchu Manoj Kumar who is none other than Lakshmi Prasanna’s own brother is brimming with confidence with the recent successes like ‘Bindaas’ and ‘Vedam’.  The movie that started its production about eight months back had a very subtle launch but had a grand gala function for the music release which was attended by top notches like Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna and the songs are already on the lips of many. Apart from the daughter and son the father also played a key role in the film.  Even Lakshmi Prasanna also played a small role in the film making it an all family affair.

M M Keeravani is known for his musical hits in the past based on music and the combination with K Raghavendra Rao has proved beyond doubt the success.  To name a few – ‘Allari Mogudu’, ‘Allari Priyudu’, ‘Pelli Sandadi’, ‘Annamayya’, ‘Gangotri’, ‘Sri Ramadasu’, etc.  When it comes to music in ‘Jhummandhi Nadam’ as well, we have to make a specific mention about the songs that rejuvenate us after a hard day’s work.  Thanks to Keeravani for taking us to the enchanting music world. His graceful music has already added its value to the movie.

The cinematographer S Gopal Reddy who is also a well known figure in Tollywood as well as Bollywood has been part of many successful films and won two Film Fare awards for ‘Varsham’ and ‘Sri Ramadasu’. It will be interesting to note that Raghavendra Rao was the director for award winning film ‘Sri Ramadasu’ in which S Gopal Reddy got Film Fare award as best cinematographer.  So this combination joining together once again will enhance the expectations of the audience.

Mohan Babu, Raghavendra Rao, Keeravani and S Gopal Reddy, these are all the names known for the successes and hits in Tollywood.  Now Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna has brought all of them together that too, on a most desired platform called music. Going by the past successes of music oriented films like ‘Shankara Bharanam’, ‘Sindhu Bhairavi’, etc., which has displayed the taste of public towards such traditional aspects, this movie which is also based on such music related interests can turn out to be a good one.  Raghavendra Rao had already given hits like ‘Annamayya’ and ‘Sri Ramadasu’.  Therefore we all can expect some pleasant moments with this film.
