The third installment of 'Raju Gari Gadhi' franchise, 'Raju Gari Gadhi 3' has hit the screens today. Starring Ashwin Babu, Avika Gor, Ajay Ghosh, Ali, Urvasi among others, this movie has been directed by Ohmkar. There has been a decent buzz around this film. Read on to know how the film is.

Story

Ashwin (Ashwin Babu) is an auto-driver from a slum and unable to cope up with the ruckus he creates every night after boozing, his colony people hatch a plan. They want him to fall in love with Maya (Avika Gor), a doctor, because whoever does it gets haunted by a ghost. Ashwin proposes to Maya and trouble begins for him. But there is more to the ghost angle in the story than what is expected. What's the mystery behind the ghost is what the rest of the story all about.

Performances

Looks like Ohmkar has tried to launch his brother Ashwin as a mass hero with this movie and the latter impresses with his performance. He gets to do dances, fights and everything a mass hero does. Though she doesn't get to play a meaty role, Avika Gor is good. Ajay Ghosh, Urvashi, Ali and others entertain the audiences in comic episodes.

Technical aspects

Chota K Naidu's cinematography is the biggest asset of this movie. The senior cameraman's work is superb. The background score by Shabbir is gripping. Ohmkar has tried to come up with an entertaining screenplay and he is mostly successful.

Cheap comedy here and there

Analysis

'Raju Gari Gadhi 3', a remake of Tamil movie 'Dhilluku Dhuddu 2, is more of a comedy film than a horror thriller. Few comic episodes, especially in the second half, are hilarious. Ohmkar tries to project his brother Ashwin as a mass hero and gives him an introduction song, punch dialogues and makes him dance and fight. Ashwin has given a good performance. Avika Gor's talent should have been used well. The episode between Ajay Ghosh and Urvashi in the second half is very funny. The film is mostly predictable with a template screenplay and has some over the top scenes. On the while, 'RGG3' ends up as a decent horror comedy.
