In order to protest as well as convey sincere sympathies to the police force and commandos who lost their lives in the recent terrorist attack in Mumbai, a peace march was organized by the entire Telugu Film Industry. The march started today, the 14th December, 2008 at 10 AM from Ravindra Bharathi and ended at Gandhi Statue near Assembly.
Akkineni Balakrishna, Bala Krishna, Raja Sekhar, Jeevitha, Jamuna, Roja, Jagapati Babu, K Raghavendra Rao, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Paruchuri Brothers, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Srikanth, Ram Charan Teja, Vishnu, Ravi Teja, Rajendra Prasad, Raja, Venu Madhav, Murali Mohan, Mamata Mohandas, C Kalyan, KS Rama Rao, D Suresh Babu, Chalapati Rao, SV Krishna Reddy, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ashok Kumar, Brahmaji, Suhasini etc were the prominent who participated in this peace rally called 'Santhi Yatra'. All the participants carried placards with messages to the public and the government.
Nandamuri Balakrishna while speaking to the media said whether it is Hindu, Muslim or Christian, all are Indians. We should pray that such barbaric acts are not repeated. It is also very unfortunate that Hyderbad is being linked and spoken whenever such incidents take place.
