Producer K.S.Rama Rao, who was the convener for the recently concluded 3 day diamond jubilee celebrations of the Telugu Film Industry, arranged a press meet where he felicitated all the people who worked behind the scenes for the success of the show. He also took the opportunity to talk about the function and some of the controversies that marred the celebrations.

"Firstly I would like to thank to Balakrishna and his family for their amazing grace and dignity with which they had carried themselves. And I would like to thank Purandheswari, Rama Krishna and also Lakshmi Parvarthi for the various motifs of the Late NTR that they had donated towards the exhibition of the legends.

And I will take it as my personal responsibility to give away the NTR award, to the deserving, on the 15th of September, the birthday of the Telugu Film Industry, this year.

I would also like to thank MAA president Nagababu who worked really hard for the success of this event. Also my sincere regards to seniors artists like Shawakar Janaki, Jamuna, Kantha Rao and Ballaya who donated money for the function. I apologize for not having mentioned their names during the vote of thanks, as everything happened in a hurry. I would also like to apologize to directors Y.V.S Choudary, E.V.V.Satyanarayana and V.V.Vinayak for not being able to communicate with them".

About the function he said "We spent around 2.5 crores for the event. We planned the celebrations as a three day event so that we could accommodate all film personalities who could not make to any one day to due to any reasons.

We wanted to show the unity of our industry and have fulfilled our goal of honoring the legendary and celebrity personalities of this industry. Not only did the people of Andhra Pradesh enjoy the celebrations but the event was watched throughout the nation and many Telugu movie buffs from abroad came to watch the shows personally."

About the various lapses that were pointed out, he said "I would like to give an Oxford dictionary to a leading newspaper that stated that diamond jubilee means 60 and not 75 years. Well, according to the dictionary diamond jubilee can be celebrated for completion of both 60 and 75years.

As for not inviting Shoban Babu. We went personally to invite him but he politely refused the invitation saying that after so many years of exile from films, if he came to Hyderabad, he would be tempted to act again. That was his answer and the newspapers projected that we did not invite him".

About the various controversies that shrouded the events he said "If people think they are legends then they should wait till the time they are acknowledged as one.

I agree to the fact that we should not have included Dasari Narayana Rao and D.Ramanaidu in the committees when they were being felicitated".

Following the interaction with the press K.S.Rama Rao gave away momentos to all the behind the scene people who contributed towards the success of the show.
