On exactly the same day last year Rajendra Prasad has sworn in as MAA (Movie Artist Association) president. He is doing his level best to understand and resolve the issues faced by the artists with the help of the core committee. Rajendra Prasad and the team is going ahead with the service as their motto and has taken commendable steps to eradicate the difficulties faced by the poor artists. In this one year, MAA has done so many good things which earlier presents of MAA were unable to do and won many accolades for outstanding achievements. MAA has organised many useful programs like pension to the aged artists, providing insurance and providing opportunities to the talented artists who were job less.
A survey was conducted after senior artist Naresh was appointed as Welfare Chairman. They have conducted many workshops. They have conducted survey to understand the necessities of 700 plus members who are part of it. With this survey they found that 30 families are in critical conditions and 10 more families are on the verge of getting into the critical condition. The outcome of the survey revealed that there are 40 families which are in critical condition at this point of time. MAA association is working on a priority basis to resolve all the issues one after the other. MAA has tied up with a bank to provide loans to the people who are willing to do business to lead their life. MAA association has approved life insurance for 30 people for free. MAA which has promised to pay Rs.1000 as pension to 30 families has lived up to it by giving Rs.2000 to each family. We all know how competitive MAA elections were. Everyone expected that the two teams wouldn’t work together. But MAA association has proved that as wrong. Team Rajendra Prasad and team Jaya Sudha are working hand in hand to resolve the issues. Sivaji Raja is playing a crucial role as Secretary in the MAA association which is working with service as their moto.
