"I Inspire" Run by SBI Pinkathon and WOW Foundation, Hyderabad

Pinkathon has organised I Inspire Run in association with WOW Foundation & Vegesna Foundation on Friday, 26th February 2016 at Vegesna Foundation, Kuntloor, Hayathnagar, Hyderabad from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM.

Around 30 differently abled children took part in the I Inspire Run in FOUR different categories:
• Independent Manual Wheelchair
• Dependent Wheelchair Children
• Girls with Crutches
• Boys with Crutches

Children took part in the Run with lot of enthusiasm and happiness. Their happiness reached to new heights when they were supported and cheered up by a group 70 girls and boys from Vocational Institute and neighbourhood school students.

The program started with Mrs. Sailaja, Vice Chairman – Vegesna Foundation and Mr. Narsing Rao Bongurala, Founder – WOW Foundation together flagging off the "I Inspire" Run - SBI Pinkathon.

Mr. Shanmukha Rao, one of the active volunteers of WOW Foundation gave a motivational speech inspiring the children with disabilities to fight back and learn skills to make better and prosperous life.

All the children participated in the Run got appreciation in the form of “I Inspire Medal” from Pinkathon organisation. Winners of Run in each category were given special Prizes.

After completion of Running Race, medals and prizes were distributed by Mr. Narsing Rao Bongurala, Founder – WOW Foundation. Later, he also interacted with TV9 News Channel and other media representatives. He emphasized that people with disabilities need support not sympathy to make them integral part societal development and overall growth of the nation.

Children and the management of Vegesna Foundation felt very happy with the event and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Pinkathon and WOW Foundation. Pinkathon team lead by Ms. Divya Babbar and WOW Foundation’s team were later joined by Sri. Vamsee Ramaraju, Chairman – Vegesna Foundation. Sri. Ramaraju thanked Pinkathon and WOW Foundation for taking such a noble initiative and expressed his confidence that with such support Vegesna Foundation can accomplish much more progress in serving children with disabilities in focused manner.
