Sashi Preetam who shot to fame with telugu film Gulabi and his solo songs, Ye rojaithe Choosano Ninnu and Ee velalo neevu had carved his niche to be a maverick composer who belted out fusion, rock and EDM in telugu cinema music two decades back. Most of his songs in films like College, Samudram remained unfazed in the hearts of youth.
He was also instrumental in introducing a line up of singers and music directors most of whom are on the top list of the industry today.
Though he had a very short stint in telugu he maintained a low key while he was working on several Bollywood blockbusters as a background score composer for films like, Ashique, Amdani Athani Kharcha Rupayya, Rudraksh, mukhbir and more...
He has been an adman and has composed several corporate jingles and documentary films for leading NGOs. Having been in advertising for more than a decade he headed an animal lifestyle magazine as the editor for more than an year.
He is making a comeback in music but in a different role of launching his franchise of Independent music in Telugu and other Indian languages. This is an effort to create new compositions that are not limited to certain situations of any story. It is music all the way that decides how a tune should be and the genre. So experimenting with Rock, Pop and EDM fusing them with Indian styles and classical at times he has created a menu of more than thirty songs with a wide range of topics and experimental genres of music to start the M FILES project on his online official youtube channel.
M FILES will feature new lyric writers, singers and musicians in the process of launching a song every fortnight.
To kick start the project we have launched the first remake of Ye Rojaithe - Rock version on the 11th of January. We are now launching the first original composition composed, written and sung by Sashi preetam.
"EE varsham Ee gaali Naakentho Ishtamu"
The next song "Gundellona yedo ayyuntaadi" - will feature a new singer from Sashi Preetam Academy of Music.
Singer Profile - Prathyusha Sharma is a trained light music singer who has sung several Corporate jingles and christian devotionals till date. She has also performed in prestigious events of the indian Railways and Defence.
She herself sang and enacted in the music video for the purpose.
M FILES will be promoting such new talent and showcase them regularly on the official online channel and M FILES concerts.
