The 2nd Edition of INDIA GADGET EXPO (IGE) country's premier international gadget show was inaugurated today by Shri K T Ramarao, Cabinet Minister for Information Technology and Panchayat Raj, Telangana State, along with Shri Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India & South Asia, along with the stalwarts from the Technology & Gadget Industry at HITEX Convention Centre.
IGE 2015 which serves as a platform to showcase innovative gadgets and technologies brings together major stakeholders of the tech community comprising of technology providers, gadget manufacturers, technology innovators, bureaucrats, government officials, entrepreneurs and startups.
The expo showcases verities of gadgets from major manufacturers.
India Gadget Expo this year focuses on experiential technology and brings forth innovative technologies. The guests were startled at the entrance with a unique Experiential Tech LED tunnel.
IGE has over 100 stalls with the companies like Canon, Micromax, Gionee, Panasonic , WDC, Motorola, BMW, and Mercedes displaying their evolving new technologies. Motorola for the first time will be launching the phones out of e-commerce platform allowing the customers the opportunity to touch and feel them. Besides the plethora of innovative Gadgets and Gizmos, the Startup Zone grabbed the attention of the visitors with over 50 enthusiastic innovators (selected from over 400 entries received) displaying their products for the first time. The visitors enjoyed the Virtual reality world and were seen looking amazed at the Home automation and other fantastic gadgets.
The IGE has a series of seminars on current, engaging and much talked about topics with eminent speakers like Mr Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India & South Asia and President CEAMA, Mr Akhilesh Tuteja, Partner and HOD - IT Advisory, KPMG, Mr. Gurmeet Singh - CEO Yahoo, Mr. Ashim Warsi - Head Samsung Mobiles, Mr. Arvind Vohra - Head, Gionee, Mr. Rishi Jaitley - Asia Head, Twitter, Mr. Anubhav Nayyar - Head, Viber, Mr Vikas Saxena CEO Nimbuzz etc discussing about the present trends and the future of Gadgets, Gizmos, Apps & Technology in the Super Seminars.
IGE is also hosting a 30 hour Hackathon CarnivaL a platform for hackers to pitch their prototypes and solutions to the industry leaders, investors, IT professionals and public at large.
To take the excitement to the next level, IGE has Five #5, which will witness a large number of Brand, Product Launches. Daily between 5pm to 6 pm, 5 new products would be launched. IGE will witness the launch of B.One a product which will revolutionize the field of office and home automation & security Owned by Blaze Automationand product by Orvito first time in India. Alsothe Flash Sale by e-commerce between 1pm to 4pm will provide massive discounts on the featured products from top brands.

IGEserves as a platform to unfurl innovative technologies with a highly interactive platform bringing together all the innovators, tech- inspired manufacturers, entrepreneurs and retailers to reveal their brand innovations and exhibit their latest products to the thousands of consumers.
The highlight of this year's IGEis the unique Start Up Zonewhich allows over 50 innovators selected from over 400 entries, to unveil the innovative technology and showcase their products, to the tech savvy customers and investors.
This year IGE also has the first of its kind 'Inspiring India Innovation (13) awards' to recognize the best and most innovative products. The Start up zone and 13 awards are our efforts to recognize the potential innovations in the Tech and Gadget space and provide a platform to promote "Make in India" an initiative by the Government of India."
He further added, "This year we have witnessed that the number of stalls have tripled. We are also hopeful that in the coming years we would be able to scale IGE at par with other global tech expos. Moving forward we plan to organize smaller version of similar events in other cities and promote innovation and technology development across the country."
The 4-day event is expected to witness an enormous footfall of around 1 lakh visitors and participants across the world from varied segments including Global Investors, CEOs and Managing Directors, Technology Professionals and enthusiasts, Dealers/ Distributors, Government officials, Consumers and students.
