St.Ann's College for Women celebrated International Day of Preservation of Ozone Layer, Hyderabad

St.Anns College for Women (Autonomous) Celebrated International Day of Preservation of Ozone Layer at its campus at Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad. Eminent Environmentalist-Prof.K.Purshotam Reddy was the chief guest of the event.

Around 225 Students of the College Eco-Club & NSS Unit took out a rally around the college with placard, educating the people about the importance of Ozone Layer for the environment.

The rally followed up with a seminar on the theme “30 Years of Healing the Ozone together, Ozone: All there in between you & UV”.

Principal of the St.Anns College-Sr.Amrutha addressed the students the importance of safe guarding the ozone by minimizing the pollution, many members of Pollution Control Board graced the occasion along with Mrs.Geetha Chowdhary President SWARA(Voice of Women).
Prof.K.Purshotham Reddy gave insights on the importance of Ozone to the environment, he provided the information on science behind Ozone, the depletion of Ozone and UV Scavenging Mechanism.

The Event was a grand success, Principal-Amrurtha thanked the chief guest for his motivating speech and congratulated students for carrying out successful & educative activity.
