The PG students from the Department of Mass Communication, St Francis College For Women, has formed a new media club ZEITGEIST (formerly known as DRUSHTI) and is now hosting under this banner a one day event "FIRST CUT " for all the budding ''Mediawalas” of the twin cities on 11th March 2014 from 10am to 4pm . It is a very unique and unusual event as it provides a platform for the students to compete, interact and share ideas. This is one of the first inter-collegiate Media events that the city has ever seen.
The Chief Guest for the event KAVITHA DAUGHTER OF TRS LEADER K.CHANDRASHEKHAR RAO is a Indian political activist. She is the founder of Telangana Jagruthi which is known for its Telangana cultural activities. She has played an active role in the formation of the state of Telengana.

The judges panel for the 3 categories are ANISH KURUVILLLA AND MAHESH KATTHI

ANISH KURUVILLA is a true blue Hyderabadi who has always had a passion for movies. In school he was into dramatics, theatre and also directed some plays. After graduation, he worked in a production company called Bhairav Films headed by Mani Shankar.Avakai Biryani written and directed by Anish Kuruvilla in 2008. Anish Kuruvilla, who played Anand's cousin in the film Anand in 2004 and also, was the executive producer for the film and Kammula's following film Godavari in 2006, Ko Ante Koti is a 2012 released film directed by Anish Kuruvilla.

MAHESH KATTHI is an English literature graduate and Communication postgraduate with specialization in TV production and documentary film making. After a brief stint with Television, he took up development communication as profession and worked with international NGOs like Unicef, World Bank, DFID, AusAID, Clinton Foundation and Save the Children. Writes as a film critic and analyst for navatarangam.com Works

• His debut short film Edari Varsham (2011) received a critical acclaim and was screened in
international film festivals.
• He wrote for critically acclaimed Telugu film MINUGURULU
• His debut feature film Reporter is in post-production.

RAAM - FASHION DESIGNER The nature of fashion within him started with keen observation. He is an MBA holder from MITCON Business School, Pune and slowly began with Free Lance Designing for Photo shoots in Magazines.

Raamz is an Exclusive studio offering a glam quotient for Modern , Western and Traditional Contemporary designs giving you a feel of royalty with wide collections for Men and Women from Party goers imdustrialists etc. Raamz Idea evolved as Fashion Stylist for Sukumar Sir Tollywood " Jagadam" in 2007 . His collective achievements in fashion concepts includes for several films in Telugu , Tamil such as Jagadam and Endhiran - Rajinikanths Robot represented as one of the designers worked on this whole project Banam, AArya 2(ringa ringa song), Andamiyna Abadam, Yuva Rajyam (yet to release) Ragada, Aalasyam amrutham, Wanted, 100% Love(deyalo deyala song), Its my love story, Ishq , Damarukham . For Songs like Nesthama Nesthama song featuring Nagarjuna, Anushka. "Robot costume" in Ranjnikanth's ground breaking movie "Endhiran".

The valedictory Guest for the event is Actor Sumanth .Sum a nth was born in Hyderabad, Telugu film actor/producer from the Akklneni family. Sumanth started his acting career in Telugu cinema in 1999 with Ram Gopal Varma's film Prema Katha. Sumanth starred in Golconda High School, directed by the national award winning Indraganti Mohan Krishna under the Artbeat Capital banner, which previously produced the hit film Ashta Chamma.

Sumanth was recently roped in to be the brand ambassador for the Hyderabad Skykings, one of the franchises of the EFU (The American Football League of India).His recent film is Emo Gurram Eaaravachu" (2014).
