Secunderabad’s popular vegetarian restaurant ‘Utsav’ expands to Jubilee Hills. Smt. Dr. Daggubati Purandeswari, Hon’ble Union Minister of State, Government of India inaugurated the Utsav Vegetarian Restaurant at Road No. 36 ext, Jubilee Hills today.
Speaking immediately after the inauguration Dr. Purandeswari said indeed it is very interesting to note that Utsav Restaurant is started by IIT Engineering graduates who instead of going abroad for greener pastures searched employment opportunities locally. Our youth must emulate these IIT Engineers behind Utsav and look for employment opportunities locally rather than going abroad she said.
India is an global economic power. We have somany employment and business opportunities locally she said. Hospitality industry locally is poised for growth she said. And Added that Hyderabad has become Tourism hub. Hence, there are plenty of employment and business opportunities in Hospitality sector. Human Skills are very important for any sector to grow. Keeping this in mind Government of India set up a National Skill Development for developing skills in Hospitality, Automobile and Health Care and Hospital sectors, she informed.
Speaking about her food prefererence she said she would like to cook as and when she gets an opportunity. Because this is the only link streghten the bond between the family members. It helps a home maker to get close to family. Cooking for me is a way of expression, she informed. She loves to eat Chicken. She said her Daggubati Venkateshwar Rao says that she cooks Dal and Leafy Vegitables and her daughter says she cooks Chicken curry well. She personally likes any food that is cooked well.
Mr. Kiran Biligiri spokes person of the Utsav said Isac Newton, Fanklin Benjamin, Abdul Kalam, Amitabh Bachan, Jackie Chain, Hitler and Thomas Alva Edison are Vegetarians. Vegetarian doesn’t mean just Idli and Dosa. There are lot of North Indian varieties too, he said.
Utsav Restaurant from the Biligiri Hotels Group was established in the year 2000 at Tivoli Road, Secunderabad. The restaurant soon became a household name and a popular choice for many food lovers in the twin cities.
People from across India who work in Hyderabad particularly IT professionals frequent Utsav Secunderabad for authentic vegetarian food and wished it was also available close to their workplace around Madhapur area. This prompted us to expand to Jubilee Hills, informed Mr. Kiran Biligiri, spokesperson of the Utsav while talking to the media immediately after the inauguration.
Located in close proximity to the IT Hub of the city, expectedly it is WiFi enabled which not many restaurants in city can talk about. Restaurant is mainly popular for its delicious food and consistent quality and the first restaurant to be ISO 9001:2008 certified.
It won many accolades and awards for BEST VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT from Times Food Award, Diner’s Club International, AP Tourism Award of Excellence, Association of Catering Professionals, etc. The restaurant patronized by Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Harsha Bhogle, Viswanathan Anand, etc. and others is known for its delectable food festivals like Khyber, Tawa, Gujarati, Rajasthani etc. The new 6000 sq. ft. restaurant at Jubilee Hills with 125 seating capacity will offer the same famed delectable range of varied cuisines. Multi-cuisine vegetarian fare including North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, Tandoori, Continental, Italian, etc. will be on offer.
