Art For A Cause: (Joy of Giving Week, 2013)

Muse Gallery, Marriott - Hyderabad presents 'Arts For a Cause' art show during Joy of Giving week 2013 to support various causes supported by children in underserved environments. The fundraiser will support many causes identified by children from Adhya Educational Society, KARE Trust, and Move the Wheel Foundation. The children have made art, and are donating the funds from sale of art pieces to a cause of their choice.
About 50 children are supporting more than a dozen causes to include everything from education, environment, flood relief, trees, water, electricity, animals and birds, supporting old age homes, vocational training centres for women and a school for visually impaired children.

Adhya Educational Society is a not-for-profit society registered in Andhra Pradesh, India. Adhya Academy supports and educates the most vulnerable and neglected children to make a difference in their lives. KARE Trust, Sayeedabad is an organization started with the purpose of spreading education, Enterprise, Good health and employment for the residents of Kurmaguda, Sayeedabad. Achieving 100% literacy in Kurmaguda area is their main goal , currently KARE Trust provides free education to 600 children.

Move the Wheel Foundation, is a non-profit educational trust founded in January 2010. They cater to the nation's need for imparting quality holistic education to its children at the grass root levels. Most of the children they help come from alcoholic abusive backgrounds and disadvantaged families. Concept: To provide a platform for children in underserved environments to identify with causes that they are passionate about and raise funds for the cause

Objective: To be able to learn to give using one's own creativity and talent , no matter what a person's limitations, socio cultural background

We will have:
45 pieces of Mixed media art (on canvas) 15 artefacts based on reviving Pachissi (colourful traditional textile based game involving intricate handwork) , a lost game form and art form of Hyderabad through an interplay of textiles, craft, mixed media, paintings etc.
