Sahi Cochlear Implantee Family Reunion 2015

SAHI Cochlear Implantee Family comprises of approximately 190 children who have received Cochlear Implant surgeries at Apollo Hospitals with the help of SAHI.

Once the child undergoes the surgery, he/she becomes a member of our Cl family. The benefit of being a Cl member includes one year of free follow-up care, with doctors helping develop a road map for ongoing care that include therapy sessions, mapping and the monitoring of ongoing hygiene. SAHI team keeps in touch with family members and tries to support them throughout the process in the most optimal way possible.

SAHI’s motto is to have a life long relationship with the patients and their well-being is SAHIs foremost priority. For this reason we organize SAHI Cochlear Implantee Family Reunion once a year, inviting all the Cochlearrecipients that have got the cochlear implants with SAHI’s help. The main objective of the event is to monitor the growth and progress of the children and also to encourage and motivate others. We also have sessions organized by the Implant companies (Cochlear, Medel and Advance Bionics) on troubleshooters, FAQ’s and on health and hygiene for our implantees. All SAHI members serve as mentors to the implantees and their families so that they feel connected to the organization and also in case of any device related problems can acquire immediate help.
