Celebrated Actress & Animal Welfare Activist Amala Akkineni joins Satya Paul team to welcome their newly appointed fashion director Masaba Gupta to Hyderabad
Hyderabad, 4th April 2013: Satya Paul, one of India’s most iconic fashion brands, recently announced the appointment of designer Masaba Gupta as Fashion Director for the brand. In this capacity, she will provide design direction for the prêt-a-porter and Satya Paul Signature lines, as well as the scarves and accessories ranges. Masaba presented her debut collection for Satya Paul at Wills Lifestyle India fashion week this month and the collection won excellent reviews from the media
On this occasion celebrated actress & animal welfare activist Amala Annikeni joins the Satya Paul team as the guest of honor, over a wine and cheese evening to introduce Masaba to the brand patrons. The event is being held at the Satya Paul store at GKV Mall, Banjara Hills.

Amala made her debut in a Tamil film titled Mythili Ennai Kaathali directed by T. Rajendar, which was a big box office hit. Winning overnight fame, she charmed cinema lovers in a flurry of fifty films. She acted in a number of Tamil movies. Her performance in Pushpak and Agni Natchathiram are unforgettable. Amala is married to Telugu Film actor Akkineni Nagarjuna since 1992 and the couple has a son, Akhil. She is the stepmother of actor Naga Chaitanya Akkineni. Amala is the founder of Blue Cross of Hyderabad,[3] a non-government organization (NGO) in Hyderabad, India, which works towards the welfare of animals and preservation of animal rights.
