Global Oncology Summit 2013 in Hyderabad from 28" to 31st March 2013
Basavatarakam lndo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute is organising the Global Oncology Summit 2013 between 28th and 31st of March 2013. The meeting is to be held at the Marriott Convention Centre and Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital. The Program is part of Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute in sharing the knowledge earned over a period of time and also intended to exchange various developments in oncology. The first two days will consist of live workshops in minimal access surgery, radiotherapy and molecular biology. The last two days will consist of lectures, debates and panel discussions.
The conference will deliberate on various advances in Gynec, lung, Head & Neck, G.0 and G.I. Cancers. Speaking in a press conference being organised to convey various details pertaining to the summit, Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna, Chairman, Basavatarakam Ind° American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute has revealed that the former President of India and an eminent scientist Honorable Dr APJ Abdul Kalam will inaugurate the conference on the 29th of March. He also explained that there will be around 100 faculty renowned faculty from India and across the world including 13 International ones consisting of the who's who in the field of cancer.
Further adding to it, the chairman of Organising Committee of Global Oncology Summit 2013 and Medical Director of Basavatarakam Ind° American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute has said that some of the big names in oncology include Dr Non i Dattatreyudu from New York, Dr Tony Mok, Professor, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr Francesco Grossi- National Institute for Cancer Research, Genoa, Italy, Dr Jatin Shan and Dr Manjit Bains, both from Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Centre, USA will be participating in the summit. He also said that The participants will include oncologists from all sub specialities, general surgeons, physicians, gynaecologists, urologists, thoracic surgeons, medical and surgical gastroenterologists. Post graduates in oncology, surgery and medicine including the respective sub specialities are also expected to attend. The total number of attendees is likely to be around 1500, he hoped.
Finally speaking on the occasion Dr. Senthil Rajappa, Organising Secretary of Organising Committee of Global Oncology Summit 2013 and also HOD for Department of Medical Oncology has said that The Andhra Pradesh Medical Council has awarded 21 CME Credit hours for the conference thus benefitting participants. He also appealed medical fraternity and medical students to make use of this opportunity in attending the summit in big numbers. Along with them Sri RP Singh, CEO; Sri D. Satyanarayana, COO; Dr. Satyanarayana, Medical Superintendent(Hospital), Dr. Kalpana Raghunath, Medical Superintendent (Academic & Addlife), various heads of medical departments, doctors, staff of the hospital has participated.
