‘Kalamandir Miss Hyderabad’ evokes unprecedented response
Hyderabad, 8th October, 2012: Countdown for the dazzling crown of Miss Hyderabad has begun. And the stage is set for a bevy of beauties to outsmart each other and vie for top honours as the face of a royal and historic Hyderabad.
The auditions for the Miss Hyderabad-2012 on Sunday registered an unprecedented response from a large number of the prettiest and beautiful enthusiasts. In a true reflection of the quality of the beauty event presented by Kalamandir and Uninor, the best and the most charming contestants from the city had reported.
From them, a total of 4021 registrations were initially taken and after sifting further, a total of 250 contestants have been finalised for participation in city's most prestigious beauty pagent.
To short-list the candidates was not an easy task for the panel of judges that comprised leading fashion and entertainment industry figures such as Fashion and Textile Designer Ganesh Nallari; entrepreneur & Tollywood actor Sundeep Kishan; Tollywood director Praveen Sattaru; Image Consultant Renu Sukheja; well known professional photographer Arvind Chenji.
On day one, yesterday, the preliminary screening focussed on Physique, confidence, conversational ability, walk and total attractiveness. The main audition today further went into aspects like Confidence, grooming, Style & Imagination, Attitude, Communicational skills.
Looking at the talent Mr.Praveen Sattaru (Tollywood Film Director) committed to give one of the top 20 contestants a chance in his next movie as a lead heroine and this contestant will also be awarded the title “Miss Tollywood” in the Miss Hyderabad pageant.
Speaking about the enormous task of selecting 20 contestants from 250, Ganesh Nallari said, it was no simple task considering the response this contest evoked. The girls are enormously talented with oodles of self confidence and personal poise. Often in the course of these two days, me and the honourable panel of judges were baffled in choosing one over the other and restricting the number to 20. I now believe, Hyderabadi girls just didn’t have a right platform to express themselves all these years and grabbed this lifetime opportunity.
These selected contestants will now undergo grooming sessions by industry experts before the curtains go up for a glitzy and glamorous grand finale scheduled on October 26. In the run-up for the final battle of beauties, the contestants will be part of two events, Charity and Go Green Initiative.
Response to audition has been truly heartening, says Srinivas Gunishetty, Founder and CEO of Page 3 Entertainments.
