‘Spicy Venue’ gets Best Andhra Cuisine Award

City-based restaurant ‘Spicy Venue’ has bagged the prestigious 'Best Andhra Cuisine Award'. The restaurant, located in the upmarket Jubilee Hills, has received the award at the Epicurus Hospitality Awards ceremony held as part of the ongoing Hospitality India 2012 Expo at Hitex.
Spicy Venue managing director Mr Tummala Srinivas Sampath received the award from state major industries minister Geetha Reddy.
Speaking to the media at Spicy Venue’s conference hall on Sunday, Mr Sampath said the award organisers had invited entries in 40 different categories and that the ‘Best Cuisine Award’ in Andhra Pradesh was bestowed upon Spicy Venue.
“Our restaurant has been selected for the award after taking into account the authentic dishes that we churn out, and the quality maintained. The awards were given under aegis of the Andhra Pradesh Hotels Association. This award stands testimony to our commitment towards providing Hyderabadi delicacies to food connoisseurs,” Mr Sampath said.

On the occasion of receiving the award, Mr Sampath said the company will be offering special menu both in vegetarian and non-vegetarian categories for the next two days.
“We are offering jeedipappu koora (cashewnut curry), mamidikaya pappu (mango dal), ulava charu, raagi sankati, jonna rottelu (jowar roti), gutti vankaya koora (brinjal curry) in vegetarian, and royyala vepudu (prawns fry), prawns, gongura mutton, bommidayala pulusu, chicken pulao, natu kodi (country chicken) and chicken biryani in non-vegetarian,” Mr Sampath said.
