Hyderabad's Pregnant Moms Walk at Radisson Blu

It is a great feeling to get to know that you are pregnant, but it's even better to be pampered and made to feel special by walking the ramp in style to celebrate their motherhood.

Around 30 moms-to-be of the city walked the ramp in an enriching, joyous and memorable experience here in the city at the Hotel Radisson Blu. Organized jointly by Child magazine, India's largest selling parenting magazine, and Cordlife, a leading stem cell banking organization, the event 'NeoLife' has been conceptualized to help mothers in their journey to become a mother from a woman.

While Round One had them introducing themselves, Round Two saw the contestants sharing a beautiful memory of either the time they came to know they were pregnant or any touching moment or memory during the months they have been expecting. In Round three they had a question and answers round where they picked up a judge from among the jury and answered a question each.

The judges for the contest included Shilpa Reddy, model, fashion designer, and fitness columnist, Sonar eddy, founder of Home Therapy, a decor store that has recently been launched in the city, Ishita Singh, a fashion designer whose label is Anhad, Dr. Shilpi Reddy, a gynaecologist and obstetrician from The Birthplace, Upmannyue Roychoudhury, GM, Sales & marketing, Cordlife, and Geetika Sasan Bhandari, Editor, Child magazine. The clothes for the first two rounds were sponsored by Mom & Me and a special range was showcased by designer Navdeep Singh of White Dreamworks.

The participants competed for titles such as Cordlife Ms Peaches and Cream Skin; Child Ms Fit n Active; Cordlife Ms Twinkling Eyes; Child Ms Lustrous Hair; Cordlife Ms Gorgeous Smile; Child Ms Graceful and Cordlife Ms Congeniality

During the show there were various sessions for the audience. A nutrition session by Dr Hemlata Rathi from The Birthplace, a styling session with fashion designer Ishita Singh, a makeup session with Shweta Batra, regional trainer with the unisex salon chain Naturals, and a session with an RJ from 92.7 BIG FM.

Mr. Upmannyue Roychoudhury, General Manager, Sales & Marketing of Cordlife while speaking to the audience said.

Some of the other brands that partnered for the event included Palmer's and Omkaar Yoga Studio. Prior to the main gala event, three events were held during the month at The Birthplace, Omkaar Yoga Studio and at Mom & Me.

Child magazine, India's largest selling monthly parenting magazine that is the Indian edition of the US magazine Parents, has been in India for 6 years now and considered every urban parents guide to parenting Child, in collaboration with Cordlife, an international stem cell banking company are hosting an event in Hyderabad on December 27, 2014 called Neoltfe it is a carnival (exhibition and fashion show) celebrating motherhood and is for moms-to-be It will be held between 2 and 6 pm at The Radisson Blu hotel in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad During the fashion show there will be on-stage sessions for the audience. Some of these are a session with Dr Hemlata Rathi a nutritionist from The Birthplace, a styling session with fashion designer Ishita Singh and also a session with an RJ from 92.7 FM, one of our partners.

We also have a jury judging the show including celebs and doctors The jury includes Ms Shitpa Reddy (model and winner of Mrs Gladrags 2004, fitness columnist, and fashion designer), Ms Sona Reddy (founder and creative head, Room Therapy), Ishita Singh (fashion designer with the brand Anhad), Dr. Shilpi Reddy (obstetrician and gynaecologist with The Birthplace), and Geetika Sasan Bhandari, Editor, Child. The expected footfall at the event is 150 urban women/families from Hyderabad.

In the run-up to the event, we have three smaller events that have taken place at venues such as Mom n’ me, The Birthplace and the Omkaar Yoga Studio, who are all our partners in this initiative. Our fashion show participants have come from registrations at these centres. Our other partners include 92.7 BIG FM, Palmer’s, Himalaya, W, and many more.
