Hyderabad, 4, December 2014: The 66th Annual Conference of Cardiology Society of India (CSI-2014) from December 4-7, 2014 at Hyderabad International Convention Center will see more than 5000 Cardiologists from India and abroad participate in the scientific deliberations that include 560 highly acknowledged faculty members.
Internationally acclaimed Cardiologist like Dr. Naveen C Nanda considered the father of Echocardiography, Dr. Natesa, G. Pandian, Dr. Prediman K. Shah, Dr. Barry J.
Maron, Dr. Salim Yusuf and many other distinguished cardiologists will share their views on cardiology care advancements.
The theme of the conference is "Controversies to Consensus in Cardiology and Creating Brilliant Cardiologists of the Future" focusing on education, training, interaction and consensus for practicing cardiology.
Dr. HK Chopra, President Elect of Cardiology Society of India and Chairman Scientific Committee says it is the consensus on our approach that benefits patient care. This is an unique convergence as every cardiology care specialists both from India and abroad are coming with a message for improving cardiac care in the form of Drug Intervention, Coronary Intervention, Non-Pharmacological intervention besides the very latest innovation in cardiac care will also be discussed.
Outlining the scientific program at the conference Dr. Ramesh Babu Byrapaneni, Organizing Secretary of CSI-2014 says, it is a feast of academic activities. The 3 day conference will include sessions of tremendous clinical implications with high academic standards of cardiology for students, internists, physicians, clinical cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, pediatric cardiologists, pediatric cardiac surgeons and cardiac anesthetists.
Dr. Ramesh Babu added, India is already the world capital of diabetes and hypertension and is soon going to be the world capital of CAD. Healthy Heart awareness is therefore the need of the hour.

Heart disease is the globe's biggest slayer, claiming about 17.5 millions lives every year, CAD is rising steeply in our country; its prevalence was 1% in 1960,14% in 2014. "To be an Indian is itself a risk for pre-mature coronary artery disease" because of unhealthy lifestyle, eating habits, consumption of extra salt, fat rich diet, over eating, smoking, lack of exercise, high levels of stress with frequent night shifts.The lack of fruits in our diet and high levels of obesity with uncontrolled diabetes and hypertension are other major factors that lead to cardio diseases.
