Batukamma is a floral festival celebrated by the Hindu women of Telangana it is celebrated nine days during Navaratri
Arnitha Institute of Fashion Design students highlighted the event by giving importance to the festival of Batukamma with their traditional attire by wearing half sarees, kanchivaram pattu sarees, and also the traditional jewellery.
The batukamma dance and songs were the major high light of the event .Students enthusiastically participated in the Batukamma Dance the other programme was Dandia and Garba with group performances.

Fashion doesn't mean to be western and modern out fits all the time but also traditional attire for traditional festivals also play a major role in designing says Jenny Costella,Director Arnitha Institute of Fashion Design.
