As a part of this campaign a 2nd edition of 5K run is being organized at Kaitalapur ground, Kukatpally On the 30th September 2018 at 5:30 AM. The aim of this campaign us to increase awareness about the incidences of coronary artery disease in the youth. Dr. Agarwal is seeing in his practice that he has to operate on a lot of patients in the age group of 30-40 years, and these are the only lucky ones who can reach the operating table in time; a lot of people cannot even live long enough to see the lights of the ambulance.
The reason for this exponential increase in heart disease is because of the earlier onset of diabetes, hypertensions and disordered life style.
This 5k run is an attempt to create awareness about walking and running as a means to keep fit and avoid the heart diseases. Dr. Anand Agarwal also gives a lot of importance to lifestyle modifications as a mean to oppose heart diseases.
