The India's largest Kids Carnival, Hyderabad Kids Fair 2018 kicked off here in the city at Hitex on Friday. The 11th edition of the fair will continue for four days from June 1 to 4, till Monday. It will be held from 11am to 10pm for three days. The half yearly fair was inaugurated by Chief Guest film star Navdeep.
Speaking to the media immediately after the inauguration, Navdeep said Kids Fairs like this just before the beginning of the new academic year is a must as it provides information about lot of educational products and services at a single place.
Some of the trends seen at the Kids expo are home learning, books, tools and kids. According to some experts, child is in school only 14% of his or her lifetime. From birth to age eighteen, a child is under the influence of home 86% of the time. Home is the first school and Parents are the first teachers. Kids are copy cats and do what they see. Unfortunately, in India, there is no proper Channel of Home Learning. Self-learning and interactive books help in this regard they said.
Another few trends witnessed at the fair are Child Friendly Furniture, Toy Library, Learning through Toys, Private Play Grounds, Sports Centers, Children’s' Gym, Early Childhood Music, Motion based learning etc.
Over 50,000 visitors are expected to visit the fair in the next four days. The show will feature Science Exhibits, Edutainment, activities, food and many more. There will be workshops on Robotics, Photography, Film Making, Multimedia, Arts and Crafts. A Kid's Fashion show is also planned. The games zone and adventure sports arena will captive the visitors. Cartoon Characters will perform live. Many competitions like Painting, Singing, Dancing, Magic Show and Puppet Shows will also be held.
The Culinary Carnival will enage kids with innovative activities such as Cupcake Wars where kids will beautifully decorate a cupcake choosing from an array of toppings. In Sizzling Sandwiches kids will create the perfect sandwich from a selection of breads, fillings and spreads.
In an activity called "Child-Run the Kitchen, they will showcase their culinary skills and creativity in a timed challenge. In another activity "Summer Salad Bonanza" kids of 9 to 16 years will make the tastiest summer salad.
The event is organised by Hitex in association with Eenadu, Bombay Waltz, Grolier, Kushi Tv, Fru2go, Kids Age, Green Gold and Early Childhood Association.

Kids can experience the dynamic world of off-road through ATV vehicles ride along, racing demos, live music etc. A soft adventure activity called Water Zorbing will also be made available.
