Santosham Awards 2008 Presentation

The 7th Santosham Awards function, was held on August 21, 2009 at HICC (Hyderabad International Convention Centre). The colourful event was graced by top stars like Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Jalsa’ swept the 2009 Santosham Awards with five important awards - Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Music Director and Best Male Singer.

This year’s Lifetime Achievement award went to superstar Krishna and Vijaya Nirmala; Best Film – Jalsa (Producer Allu Aravind); Best Actor – Nandamuri Balakrishna (Pandurangadu); Best Actress – Ileana (Jalsa); Best Director – Trivikram (Jalsa); Best Music Director – Devisri Prasad (Jalsa); Best Cinematographer – Chota K Naidu (Kotha Bangaru Lokham); Best actor in negative role – JD Chakravarthy (Homam); Best actor in supporting role – Srihari (King); Best jury award – Tanish and Madhavi Latha (Nachchavule); Best male singer – Baba Sehgal (Jalsa); Best female singer – Geeta Madhuri (Nachchavule); Best stylish film – King (Producer D Siva Prasad Reddy); Best entertaining film – Ashta Chemma (Producer Ram Mohan); Best experimental film – Nenu Meeku Telusa (Producer Lakshmi Prasanna); Best musical hit film – Kotha Bangaru Lokham (Producer Dil Raju); Best Children’s film – Ghatotgaja, etc.
