A devotional album titled ‘Vatapatra Sai’ consisting 11 songs on Lord Shirdi Sai Baba was launched on Thursday (May 29) at Sai Baba temple in Film Nagar, Hyderabad. Mehar Chanti composed the music while the lyrics for all songs were written by Lakshmi Bhupal. Nagabhushana Reddy is marketing the album under the presentation of Geedhara Reddy Vasanthu Rajesh Reddy Memorial Trust.
Lagadapati Sridhar, who released the music album said, “Some fear spiritual life but the devotees of Lord Sai Baba are entitled to lot of freedom. That kind of freedom has allowed this team to come out with the album ‘Vatapatra Sai’. Sai Baba is not only God but also a friend to whom we can express our happiness and sorrows. I’m very happy to release the songs album on Sai Baba. I appreciate Nagabhushana Reddy garu for his idea of free distribution of 1 lakh CDs without any commercial thinking.”
Distributor Nagabhushana Reddy said, “My main aim was to do something in the name of Lord Baba for the peace of my mother’s soul. Hence I’ve come out with the idea of marketing the CDs on Baba. We are distributing 1 lakh CDs for free and we are ready to increase it to 10 lakh CDs if necessary.”
Music director Mehar Chanti said, “We have attempted to do this album with devotion on Baba. Mani Sharma garu supported us in taking this project forward. I also thank Nagabhushana Reddy garu for coming down from USA to distribute the CDs.”
Madhura Sridhar Reddy said, “I’m very happy that the album ‘Vatapatra Sai’ has been released through ‘Madhura Audio’. This is like a Bhakti Movement of which the album has been made with passion, devotion, dedication and love. Chanti composed this album with great passion.”
Lyricist Lakshmi Bhupal said, “I started off with a song and went on to write 11 songs. Without the miracle of Sai Babu, it wouldn’t have been possible for me to write so many songs with the knowledge I have. So according to me the entire credit belongs to Baba. I’m glad to tell that after a very long gap, S Janaki garu sang a song in this album.”
Sunil Kashyap and Ghantasala Vishwanath also attended this event.
