Devudu lanti Manishi Book Launch

A book on superstar Krishna titled ‘Devudu Lanti Manishi’ penned by senior film journalist Vinayaka Rao marking the occasion of Superstar Krishna completing 50 glorious years in film industry, has been launched on Saturday December 17, at Park Hyatt in Hyderabad. The book launch even was organised by Lalitha Kala Parishat instituted by T Subbarami Reddy. Superstar Krishna, Smt. Vijaya Nirmala, T Subbarami Reddy, K Raghavendra Rao, Boyina Subbarao, Chandra Sekhar, KS Ramarao, SV Krishna Reddy, K Achireddy, Bosubabu, B Gopal, C Kalyan, N Ramalingeswara Rao, Koti, Anil Sunkara, Madhava Rao, Andhrajyothi Editor Srinivasa Rao, RK Goud, Sakhamuri Mallikarjuna Rao, GV Prasad, Dasari Kiran Kumar, Mahendar Reddy, Writer Vinayaka Rao, Superhit Magazine Head BA Raju, Muppalaneni Shiva, Journalist Prabhu, Rasamayi Ramu and Asha Latha and some others were present at the event. Mahendar Reddy has bought the first book for ?2,50,000. Darsakendrudu K Raghavendra Rao launched the book by presenting the first copy to superstar Krishna and Vijaya Nirmala couple.
Speaking on the occasion, Superstar Krishna said, “When I asked Vinayak Rao that how much time it will take to complete the book, he replied that it will take one year. After a year, he launched a booklet on the making of Aluri Seetharama Raju. He worked on the book for three years. I appreciate Vinayak Rao that he approached many people and gathers several photographs and penned 'Devudu Lanti Manishi'. The reason behing by 50 years successful cine career is my directors, producers, co-artists and technicians. Raghavendra Rao garu has brought mass image to me with ‘Vjrayudham’ and ‘Agniparvatham’. All my films which were done with Kodandarami Reddy had ran for 100 days. B Gopal and everyone did wonderful films with me. I am thankful to Adurthi Subba Rao for introducing me as hero to Telugu cinema and Dundi garu for bringing mass image to me through ‘Gudhachari 116’.”
On this occasion, Vijaya Nirmala garu said, “Bapu garu introduced Krishna to me through the film ‘Sakshi’. With his inspiration I turned into director. Vinayak Rao garu worked for 3 years and brought a wonderful book to us. I am thankful to him for bringing a nice book to us.”
T Subbarami Reddy said, “Superstar Krishna is one among the great people in the film industry. Vinayak garu worked for three years on Krishna garu’s 365 films to pen ‘Devudu Lanti Manishi’. The book consists of the biography and film career of Krishna as well as his soft heart. Congratulations to Vinayak Rao garu.”
