St. Francis College for Women Escape 2.0 Fest at Begumpet, Hyderabad

St. Francis College for Women had conducted one of its biggest intra- college fests- 'Escape 2.0' on 4th October 2016. It saw the unity of the main clubs of the college- Xpressions (the Arts clubs), Spectrum (the Science club), COFEE (the Commerce club), Arista (the BMS club), Prakriti (the Environmental Science club) and VocTalent (the B.Voc club). The inaugural took place with the Principal declaring the fest open, with Allu Sirish as the Guest of Honour.
There were a number of Chief Guests including Sumanth Ashwin, RJ Arun and Naga Anvesh. Fever FM, the official media partner for the fest had covered the entire event live and had people come over to encourage the students.
Xpressions, the Arts club(s) had organized one of the biggest events of the day- the Flash Mob competition, 'Celebrations' which was judged by Sumanth Ashwin, Ram (RSU DC) and Vijaya Tupurani. Another event was 'Musiblast', a karaoke contest, and 'The Domino effect’, which was a series of games.
The winners of the Flash Mob contest were: the Xpressions club.
Arista, the BMS club had organized 'Hunger games' and 'Shape Stock', the former being a mock stock with a twist, by telling your money what to do; the latter being a game of life with two students picking to be either a spectator or a player.
VocTalent, the B.Voc club had organized two events. 'Ignite' had students taking part in a version of Ellen DeGeneres' 'Heads up!’; 'Visual Jashn' let the students show off their creative side by turning waste into something useful.
The Prakriti club had organized workshops for handmade paper and pottery.
Spectrum, the science club organized 3 events. One of the main events of the fest was the Ramp Walk, 'Rab ne bana di jodi', where the students had dressed up to portray their favourite celebrity couples. The other two events were "Born To Wander" and "Mind Bogglers", the former being a Treasure Hunt and the latter being an IQ test.
The winners of the Ramp Walk were: Manisha and Priyanka who acted as Palak and Gutthi.
COFEE, the Commerce club had organized MerchMerize, a marketing event which tested the ability of students to market products in their own, creative ways. Corporate Roadies was another event that had a pressure interview, instead of the usual mock interview.
The fest had received an immense response and was celebrated with great enthusiasm. It indeed lived up to its name and served as an escape for the students from their usual routines.
