The main objective of conducting Silk Mark Expo- 2016 Hyderabad is to provide 100% Pure Silk( PATTU ) products to the consumers with quality assurance by Silk Mark and to promote all four types of Silks (Mulberry, Tassar, Eri & Muga) manufactured from different silk weaving clusters across India and also to uplift the weaving community.

Hyderabad Silk Mark Expo-2016 will be inaugurated by Shri K.Taraka Rama Rao Garu. Hon'ble Minister for IT, E & C, MAUD, Industries & Commerce , Mines & Geology, Public Enterprises and NRI Affairs Government of Telangana State on 21st Sep 2016 at 4.00 pm.

The Hyderabad Silk Mark Expo - 2016 will be showcasing many varieties and colours of silk products representing 15 Silk Clusters from different silk producing states across the country. The main objective of the expo is to provide authenticated 100% pure silks ( PATTU ) with Silk Mark tags. All varieties of silk products like sarees, Dress materials, Scarves, Garments, Bed Spreads, Cushion Covers and many more from all over the silk weaving clusters of India will be displayed under one roof. To educate the consumers on purity of Indian silks, there will be exciting prizes for the consumers through lucky draw coupons and silk identification games. The Silk Mark Expo also displays the live Silk Worm of Mulberry, Tassar and Eri. Free silk testing facility will be arranged for the visitors to get their silk products tested for purity.
