Araaish is a unique platform where the worlds of glamour and giving unite in aid of Save The Children India, a 27 year old non-profit organization founded by Late Mrs Vipula Kadri in 1988.
Save The Children India believes in its conviction of making India a child friendly nation. This conviction has demonstrated itself through various innovative projects including Araaish, a one of its kind fashion fundraising event.
Beginning in 2007 with its first show in Mumbai, as a tribute to Late Mrs. Kadri, Araaish has flourished to become the epitome of excellence today. It attracts the country’s most coveted designers and displays their latest collections in festive accessories, apparels and jewellery.
Over the years, Araaish has held exhibitions in various Indian cities such as Hyderabad, New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai and also in international destinations like Dubai!
Araaish has been a one-stop destination for designers to exhibit their collections and this year is no exception! Araaish also has a ‘Save The Children India’ stall which will exhibit beautifully designed andhand-crafted products like bags, cushion covers and potlis made by less fortunate, young female beneficiaries of Save The Children India’s vocational training project.
“Araaish was started as a tribute to my late mother, Mrs. Vipula Kadri. It is a perfect blend of the worlds of glamour and philanthropy, and will go a long way in enriching the lives of women and children who are less fortunate,” says Mana Shetty, trustee of Save The Children India.
Our exhibitions enjoy the presence of celebrities and popular icons like Kajol and Tanuja, Suniel Shetty, Rashmi Thackeray, Pinky Reddy, Sameer Soni, Sophie Choudry and many more.
