The trailer launch event of Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna’s most prestigious 100th movie ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ was a grand affair held on Friday, December 16 at a huge gathering at Tirumala Theater in Karimnagar in Telangana. The film which became the main focal point from the starting day itself, has once again created history with the release of trailer in 100 theaters in both Andhra and Telangana areas. Nizam distributer Sudhakar Reddy has revealed the trailer.
On this occasion, Krish said, “Nandamuri handsome Balakrishna’s 100th film trailer was launched by Sudhakar Reddy garu at the primary witness Kotilingala,. We are very happy that we got his blessings.”
Adressingthe gathering, Nandamuri Balakrishna said, “Visiting the Kotilingala Temple has given me immense happiness. The place has significance as it was the first capital of Satavahanas in 1st century AD and came under the rule of Satakarni. ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ is set in the backdrop of Telugu emperor Gautamiputra Satakarni, who had taken the Telugu people’s fame to every nook and corner of the world. As a scion of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, I feel that it is my duty to let everyone know the history of Satakarni. I did 99 films. I went through several scripts, but nothing is up to idea and up to what my fans are expecting from my films. During that time, Krish approached me and it’s completely felicitous. I have seen many people saying that their aim is to become doctors, but they turned into actors. I came here to become an actor. After portraying doctor role in Simha, I have become the chairman of Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital. After ‘Simha’, I became MLA. We celebrate the festival Ugadi according to Jambudweep time. I know only three eras. One is Shalivahana, The second is Indian independence movement and the third is NTR era. NTR had carved a niche in the hearts of Telugu people by introducing several good schemes. I am also watching the trailer for the first time along with my fans. Great people like Ambedkar, Gandhiji and NTR always stays in the hearts of people. Satakarni is also one among those people. I did many films, but I feel that playing Satakarni role is my past life luck. It I customary for me to visit Narasimha Swamy Temple. We consider ourselves lucky that we didn’t find any obstacles during the shooting and nature was also very pleasant.”
The actor added, “Krish is great director. His every film will be very different from each one. He always tries to deliver fresh subjects. Our Telugu people are lucky that we got such a talented director. To pen Sai Madhav garu’s dialogues is a very tough job. It’s unbelievable that the film has been completed. Generally, such a great film takes two to three years. I wish our huge endeavour will become big success. We are following our father’s footsteps. Cameraman Baba garu has given wonderful work. ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ is going to entertain audience with all elements. I wish audience will encourage us by making the film a huge success.”
