Speaking on the occasion, Kamal Haasan said, “I promised to the Telugu audience who made me star hero that I will do a straight Telugu film. I’ve kept my words through ‘Cheekati Rajyam’. Telugu people received me well than Tamil people. ‘Cheekati Rajyam’ is not an ordinary film. I’m sure Telugu audience will make the film as extraordinary. We are working on this film since one year. At first, Rajesh also don’t know who is the director. He thought that I will direct the film. Later I told him the truth. He is working for Raajkamal Films since seven and half years. He started his career as assistant director and rising high day by day. It took 27 years for me to become a director. I worked under several top directors. We got satisfied that we did an excellent film. It came out extraordinarily. Especially, cinematography will be very impressive. To my knowledge, we used camera stands for just two shots. Remaining all shots were canned with mobile and Steadicam. Ghibran is an excellent music director. He has provided excellent music album. The film will not have songs but it will have excellent music and tremendous action. The film will be totally away from all regular films. Each and every artist and technician have kept their heart and soul for the good outcome of the film. Not just for me, it will stand out as a memorable film for everyone in the team. I’ve kept my words and I’m extremely confident that audience will make the film a big success. We are planning to release the film in November. We are gearing up to do another film in Telugu and Tamil languages.”
Lyricist Ramajogayya Sasry said, “We all know that yesteryear’s ‘Aakali Rajyam’ was a big hit. Kamal garu himself has suggested the title ‘Cheekati Rajyam’. I wish that the film will become big hit like ‘Aakali Rajyam’. Title is very encouraging and thrilling.”
Actress Madhu Shaini said, “I know many of the artists who worked for the film like Trisha garu, Prakash Raj garu. But, I didn’t get the opportunity to work with them. It happened through ‘Cheekati Rajyam’. I was very excited. It’s our privilege to get the chance at least to play a small role in Kamal Haasan gar’s films. I’m thankful to Kamal Haasan garu and director Rajesh garu having given me a wonderful role in the film.”
Director Rajesh M Selva said, “I’ve started my career as an assistant director under Raajkamal Films and now I turned into director through ‘Cheekati Rajyam’. Still I feel very proud to say that I’m the assistant director for ‘Viswaroopam’. It’s my privilege to get the chance to direct Kamal Haasan. Last time I visited Hyderabad as an assistant director. Now, Kamal garu made me director and has given me the change to speak on the stage. I tried my best to deliver 100% best film. The film will be engaging from the staring to the end. Everyone will enjoy the film for sure. I’m thankful to all artists and technicians who worked for the film.”
