Greeku Veerudu Hexa Platinum Disc

King Nagarjuna and Nayantara starrer ‘Greeku Veerudu’, directed by Dasarath and produced by D Siva Prasad Reddy on Kamakshi Kala Movies banner is scheduled for May 3rd release. Musical scores are rendered by S Thaman. Film unit celebrated the Hexa-platinum disc function this evening (Tuesday, April 30, 2013) in Hyderabad. While Nagarjuna presented the shields to the entire unit, Aditya Niranjan presented the shield to Nagarjuna.

Later addressing the gathering Nagarjuna said, “I’m appearing stylish only due to Thaman’s melodious music. I like only melodious music. People keep giving me compliments saying I look like Manmadhudu and that I am very stylish. But the entire credit goes to my make-up man and cinematographer for their efforts to show me young and stylish. ‘Santosham’ is my career best movie. It’s a family oriented film which earned me good name. Dasarath deals with family emotions well. ‘Greeku Veerudu’ will be a a cool film in hot summer. There may not be action scenes in the film but there are few action chases that come in second half. You all will know on May 3rd that ‘Greeku Veerudu’ comes next to ‘Santosham’ when it comes to bench mark of my range. The director is an intelligent person. He was introduced as a script writer during the time of ‘Santosham’. Later he turned director. He knows how to carve a film on relationship backdrop. You will not find negative shade. ‘Greeku Veerudu’ is about an NRI who has a wrong notion on love and attachment and later how he changes his opinion. Many have kept ‘I Hate Love Story’ song as their caller tunes. I liked the background song very much. I also like the song ‘Sneham’ very much. The best compliment that I received while shooting for the film abroad along with some foreigners was when they asked surprisingly “Are you 52? We thought you were 32.” So I consider it as the best compliment. Team work is good. Initially we thought of releasing the film on 19th, but then I was not all happy with the seize work. I’m very happy that ‘Greeku Veerudu’ is releasing on May 3rd marking 100 years of Indian Cinema. I wish this film also will become a huge hit. Producer D Sivaprasad Reddy said, “Right from ‘Vicky Dada’ every audio has become hit in our combination. ‘Greeku Veerudu’ audio too became huge hit on par with those. I wish Nagarjuna to be like Greeku Veerudu and Nava Manmadhudu. He should continue with this look in the industry for another 15 years. This film will have all ingredients that fans and audience expect from Nagarjuna’s films. His style and looks are unique in this film. I watched the film last night and I’m very happy about it. Youth are likely to return to theaters to watch Na’s style. After ‘Ragada’, Thaman scored very good music for this film. He also hails from our Nellore district only. I would like to travel along with him and do more good films. Lyricisits too do wonderful job as per the tunes. Audience will get involved in the very first reel of the film. I promise the audience will see a new Nagarjuna in this film.”

Director Dasarath said, “Greeku Veerudu is getting released on May 3rd. We have completed all post production works. Very happy with the outcome of the film. I thank Nagarjuna garu and Siva Prasad garu for giving me this opportunity. Meera Chopra played an interesting character in this film.”

Writer Kona Venkat said, “My ‘Greeku Veerudu’ is the prince who wins not kingdoms but hearts. After ‘Sivamani’ and ‘King’, I worked for this film. I’m very happy to be part of this film. I wish his films will be as healthy as him. Nagarjuna is a true hero. Dasarath is very patient who waited for a good conceptual film and hero after tasting success with ‘Mr Perfect’. His films value family relations. Of late we hardly hear the words like love and affection. But we find them in Dasarth’s films. The Telugu audience will definitely like this film since they like family emotions. Producers are very commited and focus and each and every aspect of the film. Their ability is known going by their choice of hero.”

Screenplay writer Hari said, “I worked with Dasarth for the film ‘Mr Perfect’. I’m very happy to work with Nagarjuna. I thank my director and producer for giving me the love opportunity. Thaman’s audio is already a big hit and I’m sure the film will also turn out to be the big hit like its audio.”

Distributor Niranjan said, “So far we have released all films that were produced by Kamakshi banner. Similarly we are also releasing all Nagarjuna’s films. Songs in this film are excellent.”

Fight Master Vijay and co-writer Praveen Varma also spoke in the press meet and expressed happiness for being part of the film.
