Deepak and Priyamani starrer ‘Anguleeka’ hit floors this morning (December 30th) at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. The film will be jointly produced by Koti Toomula and C H Rambabu under Sri Shanku Chakra Films banner introducing Prem Aryan as director. K V V Satyanarayana is the presenter.
Soon after the pooja was held, Bellamkonda Suresh tapped the clap board for the muhurat shot while Kasani Gnaneswar switched on the camera and Tammareddy Bharadwaja directed the first shot.
Later addressing the media at the press conference director Prem Aryan said, “The story of ‘Anguleeka’ is on the backdrop of Lord Sun. It’s about how an evil soul will enter in between the two lovers and try to split them. I’m very happy that our producers liked the story a lot. Regular shooting will begin from January 7th. We will release the film either in April or May. I hope the audience will like it.”
Hero Deepak said, “My career started off with a Telugu film even though I’m currently acting in Tamil and Hindi films. However, I still love to do Telugu movies. Hence I once again came back with a good story. I’m very happy to act with Priyamani again after ‘Mitrudu’.”
Priyamani said, “I’m playing the title role which is very powerful. There is good scope for performance in thriller genre. I was very excited when the director narrated the story to me. The movie is being made with interesting elements.”
Producer Koti said, “At the time I was planning to make a film with new storyline other than routine films, director Prem Aryan narrated this story to me. Since the subject is different and based on artists performance we have chosen Priyamani as she is aptly suitable to the role. This is my first attempt as a producer. I wish the audience will bless me.”
Presenter K V V Satyanarayana said, “I became part of this film only with the intention of encouraging new producers. I listened to the story 6 months ago. It’s a good subject. I believe that the director will do the best job. ‘Anguleeka’ will be made in Telugu and Tamil. I wish the film will become a grand success.”
