Priyamani’s unique conceptual film ‘Charulatha’, which was to release on September 14th has been postponed to September 21st. ‘Charulatha’ is a female oriented horror thriller, made in all four south Indian languages – Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. In an interview to a private channel, Priyamani said that she has dubbed her voice in Kannada and Tamil but could not dub in Telugu and Malayalam due to time constraint. Priyamani is the first Indian actress to play the characters of conjoined twins. Skanda is playing a male lead opposite her. This unique conceptual film is directed by Pon Kumaran with music by Sunder C Babu. Ramesh Murthy is producing the Telugu version. Allu Aravind has bought the distribution rights for the entire Andhra Pradesh and he is going to release the film on September 21st through his Geetha Arts banner.
In a press meet held on Saturday in Hyderabad, producer Ramesh Murthy expressed his confidence about the film’s success and claims that the reason would be Priyamani’s remarkable performance as conjoined twins.
Priyamani was also confident about her performance and said that she has given her 100% of what is required for the characters.
