Dammu Audio Release (Set 3)

NTR’s ‘Dhammu’ audio has hit the market today. The grand audio launching event took place this evening (March 29) at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad amidst huge fanfare. NTR graced the function along with his wife Lakshmi Pranathi. The couple was the special attraction of the event. Other important guests were Trisha, Karthika, MM Keeravani, his wife Valli, SS Rajamouli, Sreenu Vaitla, Boyapati Sreenu, Chandra Bose, cinematographer Arthur Wilson, dialogue writer Rathnam, choreographer Prem Rakshit, Thottempudi Venu, Kota Srinivas Rao, Aali, editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, fight masters Ram Lakshman, etc.

Anchor Suma hosted the show. The event started off with some lovely dance performances by Satya dance troup for songs from Nataratna N T Rama Rao’s old film songs and young tiger NTR’s films. In between each song was released by each guest while the trailers were released by Boyapati Sreenu. MM Keeravani and his wife Valli released the audio CDs and presented the first CD to NTR and his wife Lakshmi Pranathi. The audio is being marketed by Keeravani’s Vel Records Company. Rs 2 /-lakhs each were donated to the families of 2 NTR’s fans who died recently. NTR presented to cheques to the victims’ family members.

Later while addressing the gathering NTR said, “Boyapati Sreenu first approached me with ‘Badra’ script. At that time I couldn’t judge the script in the right manner. But today I openly admit that I regret missing that film. I’m very happy and lucky to work with a director like him who narrated nine stories before finalizing the script for ‘Dhammu’. Despite getting such a huge hit with ‘Simha’, he was very patient with me even when I was rejecting his scripts without thinking of other options. When I told him that the expectations would be very high in his combination with me, he finally took some break and came up with this script. As soon as I heard the first line of ‘Dhammu’ story, I instantly gave him a big hug and okayed the film. I wanted to thank him for being so patient with me and giving me such a beautiful film.”

Speaking further NTR said, “K S Rama Rao garu wanted to make a film with him soon after the release of ‘Student No. 1’, but that also somehow did not materialize. I really feel bad for making him wait for 10 long years. But I’m happy to work with his son Alexander Vallabha.” He then requested the gathering to bless the young producer.

Speaking about ‘Dhammu’ music NTR said, “Keeravani is my favourite music director. According to me he is the best music director after maestro Ilayaraja. My 1st film ‘Student No.1’ was a huge hit, 2nd film ‘Simhadri’ was a blockbuster, 3rd film ‘Yamadonga’ was also a blockbuster and this is my 4th film which I believe will also be a blockbuster. I usually don’t sleep without listening to ‘Raalipoye Puvva Raagalenduke’ song composed by him and today my wife is practicing the same.”

SS Rajamouli said, “Vinayk and myself focused on mass films for 7-8 years. After that Vinayak starting making comedy films and me like ‘Eega’ and ‘Dhoma’ (he said hilariously). Boyapati Sreenu came up with a blockbuster film like ‘Simha’ exactly at the time when fans were looking for directors who can provide them good mass masala entertainers. He showed the taste of fans hungama once again with ‘Simha’. I’m crazily looking forward to see ‘Dhammu’ which he is doing with Tarak. I listened to all ‘Dhammu’ songs. After listening to the ‘Ruler’ song I desperately wanted one such song in my films. I’ve high expectation on this song, hence I hope Sreenu would have shot the song on par with my expectations. Usually the film albums will have a mix of melody, sentiment, fast beat and pathos songs. But ‘Dhammu’ audio album has out and out mass entertaining songs. It’s since long time NTR twisted his mouchetache and we are going to see that in ‘Dhammu’. My inclination is to deliver a hit film with any hero I work and earn profits for my producers. But when I direct a film with NTR I’ll assure that it will be a milestone film. Since everyone was doing mass films, I went in a different route and did ‘Yamadonga’ with him. However, later Tarak chose to do a soft love story film like ‘Brindavanam’. I’m longing to do a milestone film in Tarak’s career which I’ll be doing it very soon.”

Sreenu Vaitla said, “For the past 60 years I’ve been hearing to the three letters ‘NTR’ and that will continue as long as the Telugu community exists. Tarak and I started our film career at the same time through Usha Kiran Movies banner. Tarak’s image is growing steady day by day. Tarak means energy. So I’m utlising it in a full-fledged manner in ‘Badshah’ film. I wish ‘Dhammu’ to become a huge blockbuster and ‘Badshah’ should cross its record. Keeravani rendered outstanding music. He has provided magnificent re-recording. I guess Sreenu might have taken this film in a very extraordinary manner. I wanted him to give me a tough competition.”

MM Keeravani said, “NTR, who was born as a lovable son, grew up to be an actor by making acting as integral to his life and who recently turned into a responsible husband, is now going to appear on screen as a ‘Ruler’ in ‘Dhammu’. I would say that my son Bhairava is the crazy fan of NTR than anyone else. I composed all songs in ‘Dhammu’ keeping the fans and my son in mind. Right now the re-recording work is going on. Boyapati Sreenu is such a disciplined person that he narrated the story along with re-recording. Hence half of my stress in re-recording work has come down. There are mind-blowing shots in the film. The emotions will surpass the background score. Ratnam’s dialogues are very powerful. Chandra Bose’s lyrics are excellent too. Producer K A Vallabha is sure to establish himself as a good producer for making ‘Dhammu’ with NTR.”

Director Boyapati Sreenu said, “There is a huge difference between directing a hit film and directing film as per our ability. Keeravani garu rendered music as per ‘Dhammu’ capacity. I thank K S Rama Rao garu and Vallabha garu for providing me all facilities that I wanted. I also thank cameraman Arthur A Wilson, Ratnam and my entire team members for supporting me like my backbone. Similarly Tarak is an energy who was given to me. Now the audiences have to watch ‘Dhammu’ and give their opinion on how efficiently I utilized him.”

‘Dhammu’ presenter K S Rama Rao said, “Keeravani has put in lot of efforts for the best output of ‘Dhammu’ audio. Similarly, all artists and technicians also have worked very hard to meet the rich quality film. Even when NTR was newly wedded, he worked for one month in hot sun in Pollachi. We planned to organize this function as a grand event as NTR wanted it to be held in Shilpa Kala Vedika. Since the fans attended this function in large number the seats could not be adjusted. We thank the police department and the media for their cooperation.”

Trisha, Karthika, Kota Srinivas Rao, Aali and other guests also spoke on the dais and wished for the grand success of ‘Dhammu’.
