Seetamma Vakitlo Srimalle Chettu Muhurat

Venaktesh-Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ to be directed by Srikanth Addala and to be produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner was launched today at Dil Raju’s production office. Dr Dasari Narayana Rao graced the grand function and tapped the clap board while VV Vinayak switched on the camera and K Raghavendra Rao directed the first shot. SS Rajamouli, VV Vinayak and Dasari Narayana Rao handed over the script to director Srikanth Addala.

Later while addressing the media Dil Raju said, “The multi-starrer film is coming up once again after almost 25 years. Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu are going to be seen as brothers in this film while Prakash Raj is going to essay the father’s role. This is a prestigious film on our banner. The director narrated the story to me about 2 ½ years ago and also made sure that there would be two heroes in this film. When we approached Venkatesh a year and a half ago he agreed to do the film. Later while thinking about the other hero in the film, I happened to meet Mahesh Babu on the sets of ‘Dookudu’. During that time when I told him about this project he showed interest to listen to the story. After listening to director’s narration for 15 minutes he expressed his desire to act in this film. I thank them both for agreeing to do this film together. ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ will be on par with the positive films that were made on our banner. I was pretty impressed with the title of this film. Seetamma Vakili means India and Sirimalle Chettu means Family. Overall this title indicates that it is the story of one family in India. We are going to pass the message through this film that the entire town will be prosperous if there is a good family and good towns make the entire country prosperous. We will announce the other cast and crew details very soon. We are taking special care in selecting the heroines. The regular shooting will begin in either November or December and complete the entire shooting part by May. Infact we are also planning to release the film in May only. Since both Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu are presently busy with their shooting schedules they were unable to make it to this launching event.”

SS Rajamouli said, “This movie is going to be made with an impressive title. I never heard of one such title in recent times. I’m eagerly waiting to see this film that is in the combination of Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu. My best wishes to the director and producer on this occasion.”

VV Vinayak also praised the title and offered his best wishes to Srikanth Addala and Dil Raju.
