Oh My Friend - Airtel South Indian Youth Star

Siddharth and Shruti Haasan starrer ‘Oh My Friend’ is being made by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Films banner introducing Venu Sriram as director. To brief the details of this film a press meet was held at Airtel office in Secunderabad. This programme was attended by Dil Raju, Shruti Haasan, Venu Sriram, Shareen and Raghu participated.

Dil Raju said, "Venu Sriram was working on our banner right from the time of making of ‘Arya’. I was impressed with his style of story narration. I was very excited with his concept of this story. This film will showcase the confusion that youth has between friendship and love. Siddharth and Shruti okayed the film right in the first sitting. We have come back on the success track with films like ‘Brindavanam’, ‘Mr Perfect’ and ‘Gaganam’. This is the 2nd film with Siddharth after ‘Bommarillu’. Hence there is lot of expectation on this film. The youth will relate with the characters in this film. The audience will see the real talent in Siddharth. Shruti Haasan will definitely steal the show. Hansika and Navdeep also performed excellently. The promo was released on the friendship day and the response is very good. Right now the movie is in post production works. ‘Oh My Friend’ movie will be part of Youth Star Street Dancer Programme which will be organised by Airtel. We are planning to release the audio in October and the movie in November.”

Airtel CEO announced that a Dance Carnival will be held on October 29th by them in which the team of ‘Oh My Friend’ will participate.

Director Sriram said, “This banner is like my home banner. The film is being made with a good team work. Siddharth and Shruti Haasan are the special attractions. The title is aptly suitable for the film. Raju garu is making a new experiment.”

Shruti Haasan opined that she is playing a strong female lead character. According to her, her role will revolve around friendship, love and life.
