180 Press Meet

Siddarth’s bilingual film ‘180’ is taking shape under the direction Jayendra. This movie is jointly produced by SPL Cinemas Pvt Ltd., and Aghal Films banner and it is going to be presented by Satyam Cinema. A press meet was organized at Hotel Taj Deccan in Hyderabad and it was attended by Siddarth, heroines Nitya Menon, Priya Anand, Jayendra, Geetha, Umerji Anuradha, Subha, Kiran Reddy, K T Balasubrahmaniam, etc.

Director Jayendra said, “This is a romantic film with the story moving between Hyderabad and the US. This is city’s best love story with 6 songs. Musical scores are rendered by Sarath. We have just begun the shooting and the title will be the same in Telugu and Tamil.”

Kiran Reddy said, “I’m producing this film because it is being directed by Jayendra. Being an ad film-maker he will have good grip over the story. I’m confident that this film will be crafted into a good film.”

Subha while speaking, “This movie’s storyline is very exciting and we developed in a more beautiful manner. The movie is sure to rock in both the languages.”

Siddarth while speaking, “There are many reasons for accepting this bilingual film. The first being director Jayendra. He is our family friend as well as my God father. He is the main reason for my coming to this stage. At my age of 10, he made me dub for an ad film of the product Banish mosquito coil. I lent my voice in 8 languages for that ad. At that time he gave me Rs 300. I’m very proud and happy to say that I’m working for the first directorial venture of one such director who shot about 500 ad films. For the past five years I have been requesting him to direct atleast one film. He then wrote a story and gave it to me. After I read the entire story I was so impressed with it that I asked him to direct me with this storyline. Right now the trend in Tollywood is the films like ‘Prasthanam’ and ‘Vedam’. This movie will also be in similar lines. So far all my heroines have won either Nandi award or Filmfare award. The heroines in this film are equally talented.”

Speaking further he said, “Despite maintaining many businesses, producer Kiran Reddy is making this film by trusting me and the director. Cameraman Balasubrahmaniam is shooting the film with the RED camera. Each time we are first shooting the scene in Telugu and then in Tamil. We are also planning to shoot the film in Malaysia along with America. But for the first time I am going enter the Tamil industry as a Telugu hero and I’m confident that the audience in both languages will receive me well. I’m getting a feeling of doing my first film. The first schedule began at Hyderabad and the entire shooting will come to an end by end of this year. I would normally do one film a year but now I’m doing three films at a time. One of my films ‘Bava’ is going to be released in September and my next film is under K Raghavendra Rao’s production and this is my third project. Sarath provided very good music for this flick. I’m being portrayed in a very impressive manner in this film. So far I have worked with seven new directors and Jayendra garu is the eighth new director.”

Heroines Priya Anand and Nitya Menon expressed their happiness and excitement for acting in '180'.
