With Sunil in title role, the film ‘Maryada Ramanna’ is being directed by SS Rajamouli under Arka Media Works banner. The joint producers are Prasad Devineni and Shobhu Yarlagadda. To brief the details of the film a press meet was organised at Cinemax today. Director SS Rajamouli, Sunil, MM Keeravani, Saloni, Shobhu Yarlagadda, Nagineedu and Kaanchi participated.

Firstly Rajamouli while speaking, “When it comes to the story of this film, hero’s father will kill villain’s younger brother, in the process villain Ramineedu (Nagineedu) will take revenge on hero’s family. But hero Ramu (Sunil) who is unaware of the circumstances will come to the city for his education. Then he lands straight in the villain’s house to develop his farm. Initially the family members will extend warm hospitality in Rayalaseema traditional style but after learning that their target person is their guest, and as they believe that killing the guest is not the right manner, they will wait for him to leave the house for taking their revenge. How the hero will escape after coming to know their intention is the film all about.”

He added, “I’ve narrated the story well in advance in order to caution the audience not to have vey high expectations depending on the success of ‘Magadheera’. I knew well in advance that ‘Magadheera’ would be a hit but I never expected it to become such a huge hit. This film does not belong to my school at all. There is neither action nor violence in this film. You won’t see even a single drop of blood also. I went into Sunil’s school and directed this film. Regarding Sunil’s dance, we are yet to picturise a song which needs a special mention. Although Saloni did a small role in ‘Magadheera’, that scene was not added to the film. But I observed her talent while shooting that scene and had her in mind for this film. She performed few emotional scenes even without applying the glycerin. Nagineedu who played the villain Ramineedu, has been working for Prasad Labs for quite some time. Since hailing from Rayalaseema, he could do it at ease. Regarding the songs, I’m very confident about this song ‘Telugammayi Telugammayi’ which is sure to become as big hit as Farewell song in ‘Student No. 1’. I usually have a strong support by my father Vijayendra Prasad and my cousin Kaanchi for all my films. Kaanchi put in lot of efforts in developing the story in a fine manner.”

Giving a small introduction about producers he said, “I know Shobhu well right from the time he used to work for K Raghavendra Rao. He even gave me a token advance to do a film for him after ‘Student No. 1’. He is the most comfortable producer for me till date. Art director S Ravinder also needs a special mention for his extra-ordinary sets.”

Sunil while speaking, “Peter Hynes is one such fight master who knows to take work without causing pain. My role in this film has no resemblance to any of the roles that I played so far. My role in this film will not demand laughter but will automatically make the audience spill laughs. The fact is that this will be for sure a different film in Telugu cinema. I’m sure the audience will enjoy it to the fullest extent.”

MM Keeravani said, “The song ‘Telugammayi’ will be the backbone for this film. The good feeling that we get while watching ‘Maya Bazaar’ will also get when we watch ‘Maryada Ramanna’ These kind of films will benefit the film industry. We are going to start the re-recording work from tomorrow.”
“I never expected that I would get an opportunity to do a female lead after ‘Magadheera’. I thank Rajamouli garu for giving me one such wonderful role”, expressed heroine Saloni.

Villain Nagineedu said, “Since I hail from Rayalaseema I’m aware of that culture. The culture of Rayalaseema will entertain the audience”.
Producer Shobhu appreciate Rajamouli for completing the film with the scheduled time and budget limit.
