Rakshasudu First Look Launch

Teaser and first look launch event of Surya starrer ‘Rakshasudu’ was held on Friday in Hyderabad. The film is being made on Studio Green banner with KE Gnanavel Raja as the presenter and Venkat Prabhu as director. It is coming to the Telugu audience on Medha Creations banner. Nayana Tara and Praneetha are playing female lead roles.

Speaking at the teaser launch, Hero Surya said, “Excellent artists and technicians along with Venkat Prabhu, R Rajasekhar, Samudrakhani and Parthipan have worked for the film. Venkar Prabhu is not just an actor, he is all-rounder. He has made the film with different concept. ‘Rakshasudu’ has all elements. We can’t say the film goes to which genre. Audio composed by Yuvan was released in Tamil. Background score also came out wonderfully. I’ve worked with RD Rajasekhar for the super hit films ‘Kakka Kakka’ (Telugu Gharshana) and ‘Gagini’. I will appear a man having super natural powers. I turned into producer by establishing 2D entertainments. We have remade a hit Malayalam film ‘How Old Are You’ in Tamil as ’36 Vayadhinile’. Jyothika has played in the film after 8 to 9 years. We are releasing ‘Rakshasudu’ on May 15 and we will announce the Telugu release date soon.”

“We have used the title of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 1986 film ‘Rakshasudu’ for the Telugu version. We felt that this title is suitable for the story as it deals with a ghost. I will try to craft each and every film in a different way. Nayana Tara and Praneetha are playing female lead roles,” said director Venkat Prabhu.

Gnanavel Raja said, “We are planning to release the film in Telugu and Tamil languages at the same time.”

Right now, dubbing works are going on. Audio will be released in the next week. I’ve started my career with in 2005 with the film ‘Manmadha’ and I’m very happy that ‘Rakshasudu’ is my 200th film,” said Sashank Vennelakanti.

Producers Krishna Reddy and Ravindar Reddy said, “We are extremely happy that we are bringing Surya’s ‘Rakshasudu’ as our first film.”
