The success meet of Dil Raju’s ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’ was today held at Film Nagar Cultural Centre in Hyderabad. The film was released on October 9 under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner and is running successfully all over the AP and US as well. Observing the overwhelming response from the audience the unit had shared their happy feelings with the media. Dil Raju, Srikanth Addala, Jaya Sudha, Mickey J Mayor, Varun Sandesh, Swetha Prasad, Chota K Naidu, Rao Ramesh, Rajitha, Chinnikrishna and a few students who performed guest roles in KBL attended the event.
Dil Raju, who once again proved his capability, was happy to see the houseful collections in all the theatres. The film is pulling the repeat audience particularly the youth audience. He said happily that he is receiving hundreds of phone calls congradulating him on the success of the film. According to him though the heroine did not appear all that good, post release of the film the heroine scored the merit marks with her performance. He thanked the entire cast and crew of KBL and also the audiences for making the film a big hit. He also extended his thanks to Chota K Naidu for his fantastic job in KBL.
The director of the film Srikanth Addala said that he has to work even harder for his next film as the expectations from audiences will be high after watching KBL. He also opined that video piracy will only destroy the film industry if otherwise the public go to the theatres to watch the film, they will be helping thousands of families to earn their living. And only good films can help many theatres in small towns to run for long.
Jayasudha who performed the mother to hero said that though most of the films are coming up with the backdrop of love, the theme of KBL is entirely different. The film carries a message as to how the parents should understand the minds of their grown-up children. Apart from that the heroine’s performance is also the highlight of the film. She also appreciated Dil Raju and Srikanth for coming out with a message oriented film.
Mickey J Meyer thanked the lyricist Vanamali for his fantastic lyrics. While speaking about the film, “This film is a mix of young and senior artists. Hence it was a different experience working for this film comparing to my earlier Happy Days and Hey Ram” said he.
Hero Varun Sandesh thanked the audiences for accepting him in two different roles. He expressed his happiness to see the tremendous response from the youth audience. He said that he played the role of a intermediate boy and the director Srikanth who helped him in his diction deserves the entire credit.
Heroine Swetha Prasad confidentially said that she has reached the expectations of her director Srikanth and producer Dil Raju. Another best asset of the film was the excellent tunes for which she appreciated Mickey J Mayor. She also said that she never felt strange to act in KBL and is happy for her dialogue ‘Ekkada’ is becoming very popular among the youth audience.
Rao Ramesh, Chinnikrishna and Rajitha all thanked Dil Raju and Srikanth Addala for giving them the opportunity to prove their talents and also thanked the audiences for appreciating their work.
