Mallepuvvu Audio Release

The music launch of maestro Ilayaraja’s latest Telugu album ‘Mallepuvvu’ was held at Taj Deccan, Hyderabad on August 4. Many top film personalities graced the function and gave their wishes to the unit members. Jayasudha released the audio cassette and presented the first copy to Taraka Ratna, while D Suresh Babu unvealed the audio CD and presented it to Tammareddy Bharadwaja.

‘Mallepuvvu’ featuring Bhumika Chawla and Murali Krishna as the lead pair, is directed by V Samudra. Ramesh Varma provided the story and Mohan Vadlapatla produced it under Sri Samudra Silver Screens banner.

Director Samudra recollecting his conversation with Late Sobhan Babu said, that since the original version is done by Sobhan Babu (which is also his life time favourite film), this film will be dedicated to him. He extended his speech by saying that the real hero of “Mallepuvvu” is Ilayaraja who gave an extra-ordinary music which would be a sure treat to the music lovers.

I couldn’t believe myself when Ilayaraja composed the whole album of ‘Bobbili Raja’ with in a span of two hours. A maestro, indeed!” said Suresh Babu.

Actress Jayasudha said that her dream is to direct a film which narrates the story through music and songs. She further said that when approached Ilayaraja with the idea, he immediately agreed, hence confident about fulfilling her dream very soon.

Murali Krishna who is debuting as hero in ‘Mallepuvvu’ said that he is honoured and blessed to have got the opportunity to work with seniors like Ilayaraja , Samudra and Bhumika.

Heroine Bhumika stated that it was a great experience to work with greats like Ilayaraja, Samudra and not to speak of the producer Mohan. She even expressed her happiness for having got a chance to work in a film titled ‘Mallepuvvu’, in which Jayasudha acted some three decades ago. She also thanked all the unit members for their excellent co-operation. As this is her first film after her marriage, she said that she would like to dedicate it to her husband Bharat Thakur as a token of love.

At last Ilayaraja spoke some fantastic words which will inspire all the music directors. He said “one cannot do music, it should happen by itself.” It’s really amazing to know that he composed 8 songs for the film “Mallepuvvu” in just 1 hour! How is it possible? Yes! Indeed! It’s possible only with maestros.

Producer Ramesh Vadlapatla concluded the speech by saying that this is a must watch film for all the film buffs that is going to release in a month from now.
