Gopichand’s much awaited film ‘Oxygen’ which has hit silver screens last week, is running successfully with good response from audience. S Aishwarya has produced the film on Sri Sairam Creations banner. Rashi Khanna and Anu Emmanuel are the female leads opposite Gopichand. Meanwhile, State Health Association, IDA and Tobacco Intervention Initiative, which were very impressed by the main point ‘Tobacco Regulation’ in the film, have watched the film at a special show in Hyderabad.
Dr Jwala Chaitanya, Dr Sudheer Reddy, Dr Satyendra, Dr P Karunakar, Dr A Srikanth and Health Education Officer S Nagaraju and the film’s director Jyothi Krishna were present at the show.
On this occasion, director Jyothi Krishna said, “The film has got mixed reviews when it was released. It has got good response from many areas. Shiva Shankar garu from Vijayawada State Health Association has called me and appreciated us and sent an appreciation letter saying, “You have done a good job through this film and taken our responsibility.” I am thankful to all IDA association members who watched the film. We are expecting many awards for this film. Not just for the present generation, ‘Oxygen’ is a must watch film for the next generation also.”
“We have seen many patients in our professional life. ‘Oxygen’ has shown the problems of patients in a meaningful way. Whether it is legal or illegal, chewing tobacco is injurious to health. Youth should stay smoke-free, drug-free and alcohol free. Nearly 12 lakh people die of cancer every year, while 45% people die due to tobacco. We appreciate director Jyothi Krishna for passing such a good message to youth though the film ‘Oxygen’. We wish AM Rathnam garu will produce many more such useful films to the society. We wish at least few will change their smoking habit,” said Indian Dental Association doctors and Health Education officer S Nagaraju.
