Primeshow Entertainment is one of the new entrants into the Telugu film industry. The fledgling banner has been set up by budding producer K Niranjan Reddy, who comes from an IT background. After shining in the real estate sector, Reddy is now looking forward to creating original content through films and a yet-to-be-launched OTT platform.Marking his birthday, Reddy has spoken at length about his plans.
What is your background?
Although I hail from the Nalgonda district, I was born and raised in Hyderabad. Post my Engineering, I migrated to the US to pursue Masters.
After completing my studies, I worked for two years before launching my own IT company. It then took to the real estate sector, where I have had a successful stint.
My interest in movies made me start a production house. Under Primeshow Entertainment, we are doing a handful of movies.
Are you doing everything by yourself in this challenging field? Who do you fall back on?
I have a good team. My presenter Chaitanya, as well as my partner Ashrin Reddy, are always there for me. They take care of the production affairs in Hyderabad.
How are you able to handle so many projects at once?
We give full value to time, so we were able to make three films in one year. We are going to do three more projects. All of this is possible because there is a dedicated team.
What are your future plans at a time when OTT is gaining ground?
I am planning to set up my own OTT platform.
That's big. So what are your immediate plans? When is 'House Arrest' releasing?
We are currently doing the comedy entertainer 'House Arrest', which will come out in the theaters soon. It has been many days since a movie came out on children. Families will surely enjoy it to the fullest.
Other projects are also in different stages of progress. Boyfriend For Hire' will release soon. It's a romantic comedy.
'Hanu-Man' with director Prasanth Varma is a superhero movie starring Teja Sajja in the lead. It will be like the Spiderman and Batman series.
How are you going to platform talents? How are you going to spot them?
Our agenda is to make new content. Anyone with young talent can send us their script synopsis to the email address on our website. We will respond for sure. About 200 new technicians have reached out to us over the past year.
