Gentleman starring Nani is ready to come to theatres on the 17th June. It is a romantic thriller. Nani has joined hands with Indraganti Mohanakrishna with whom he did his first film. The actor talks in leisure about his upcoming film.
The title of the film was announced quite late?
Yes. After we finished the shoot we started thinking over the title of the film. Selecting the title was difficult because we wanted something that did not convey what the film was about in the fullest sense. A team member said that it should sound like a Gentleman. Srinivas Avasarala said that Gentleman was a perfect title. You will get to know more about it once you watch the film. 
Did you team up with Indraganti Mohanakrishna out of obligation?
No. We both did not do this film with such feelings. The script was good and I liked it. The story was different and his narration made me want to do this film. It’s a great feeling working with him and now he has perfected a lot especially in terms of technical knowledge.
Three hits in a row. Does that stress you?
I do what my heart says me to do. Hat-trick hero title doesn’t stress me out. I have been like this always. I got good choices and it worked well for me. I have reached a stage where audience acceptance does not scare me. I have no doubts that I have my own space in the industry.
News is that you have hiked your remuneration?
If the film is successful charges go up. This is what happens in the industry and I am no different. So far I have been paid highly for Bhale Bhale Magadivoy.
Will Nani direct films?
I doubt that. As of now I am very content as an actor. Audience have accepted me and I know what I am good at. Maybe someday I will direct a movie.
Any plans of doing a straight film in Kollywood?
Kollywood has given us excellent acting talents. I have done a couple of films there.But for now I want to concentrate on Tollywood. It’s difficult to be here and there. I might be seen in bilinguals though.
Future projects?
Thirty percent of Virinchi Varma’s film is complete. Post this I will be acting for a film under Dil Raju’s banner. And there is another film with Bhavya Creations.
